RULES COMMITTEE:
Role:
The Rules Committee harmonizes all rules being used by the different arms of EnuguUSA Committees, programs and arms of the administration to ensure that they compliment rather than conflict with one another.
Scope:
They shall cover activities of the Board of Directors through the enuguboard forum , EnuguUSA Executive Committee through the enuguexecutives forum, as well as other Committees and the general membership of EnuguUSA¢s activities through the enuguusa@yahoogroups forum.
Authority:
This Committee is created through a Resolution of the ESBOD.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Rules Committee shall examine all rules of EnuguUSA Board of Directors, the EnuguUSA Executive Committee as well as the rules of operation and practice of any other Committee and arm or program of EnuguUSA. This Committee will make recommendations to the Board of Directors through its Chairman, of an addition or removal of any rules being used by any arm of EnuguUSA or its programs. It shall make sure that the rules being used by any of these entities do not conflict with one another, and that they properly conform to the Constitution of EnuguUSA.
CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW COMMITTEE:
Role:
The Constitution Review Committee is an Adhoc Committee that reviews the existing Constitution of EnuguUSA and makes recommendations for ways and means to improve the provisions of the existing constitution.
Scope:
The job of this Committee includes addition and, or deleting of any aspects of the existing constitution with a view to making it more comprehensive and to reflect the aspirations of members of EnuguUSA. The work of the Review Committee shall however not negate the principles of this original constitution in any fundamental form.
Authority:
This Committee is created through a Resolution of the ESBOD.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Members of this Committee shall work in strict compliance with Article 19: Sections 1 through 3 and Sub sections (a) through (c) of EnuguUSA Constitution. The Committee members shall collate information, ideas and comments from the various groups and individuals interested in effecting changes to this Constitution. The members shall, after collating the said info, thoroughly discuss these comments and information and listen to or read the views of the general membership of EnuguUSA, with a view to integrating the comments and information into the existing EnuguUSA Constitution framework. Members should however be mindful in their discussions and submission of their final reports, to stay within the boundaries of the vision and mission of the original framers of the Constitution.
BUDGET/FUND APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE:
Role:
The Fund Appropriation and Budget Committee shall be in charge of scrutinizing the Executive Committee¢s annual budget presented to the ESBOD through the National President, the National Convention Budget, as well as any other budget brought before the Board of Directors for consideration and approval.
Scope:
The fund appropriation and allocation Committee will work on any of the budgets or fund requisition made by any Committees.

This Committee is created through a Resolution of the ESBOD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fund Appropriation and Budget Committee has the responsibility to thoroughly examine any requests for funds as well as any requisitions for funds made by any committee, including the National Convention Planning Committee as well as the National Executive Committee. The Fund and Appropriation Committee shall examine any of these requests made by any Committee, match them up with corresponding justifiable reasons before making recommendations for the ESBOD to consider and approve as appropriate.
ETHICS AND DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE
Role:
The Ethics and Disciplinary Committee shall investigate all charges of ethics violations and disciplinary concerns raised against any member(s) of the ESBOD, the Executive Committee or any other Committee or member of a affiliate chapter of EnuguUSA as may be brought before the Board of Directors for adjudication. This Committee will focus on resolving any such complaint, through its recommendations to the ESBOD, with a view to finding appropriate disciplinary actions or resolutions to the concerns.
Scope:
The Ethics and Disciplinary Committee shall have the mandate to oversee ethical and disciplinary violations and concerns, as they may exist within all segments or components of EnuguUSA leadership/membership.
Authority:
This Committee is created through a Resolution of the ESBOD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Ethics and Disciplinary Committee shall investigate all charges of ethics violations and disciplinary concerns raised against any member(s) of the ESBOD, the Executive Committee or any other Committee or member of, or a chapter affiliate of EnuguUSA as may be brought before the Board of Directors. The Ethics and Disciplinary Committee shall among other things, accord any such accused, his/her or their due process(es) before making a final recommendation (s) to the Board of Directors on the case. The work of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee shall be with a view to recommending appropriate disciplinary actions or resolutions to the Board of Directors in response to any allegations of ethical violations against any member of the Association, or regarding any such ethical and disciplinary concerns raised within any level of the EnuguUSA Association.
VISION 2020 COMMITTEE
Role:
The Vision 2020 Committee shall liaise with the Executive Committee to identify and formulate long-range visions, projects and programs for EnuguUSA, up to the year 2020. This Committee shall act as the clearinghouse for all long-range ideas and plans that will benefit the general membership of EnuguUSA. This Committee will articulate ways and means of identifying, harnessing, nurturing, sustaining, collaborating with, and rewarding (where necessary) individuals, corporations and groups that have demonstrated interest in supporting ideas, projects and programs, as well as working with these individuals and entities to realize the fruition of such ideas, projects, programs and other potential ideas, projects and programs as appropriate.
Scope:
This Committee will articulate ways and means of identifying, harnessing, nurturing, sustaining, collaborating with, and rewarding (where necessary) individuals, corporations and groups that have demonstrated interest in supporting ideas, projects and programs, as well as working with these individuals and entities to realize the fruition of such ideas, projects, programs and other potential ideas, projects and programs as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Vision 2020 Committee shall act as a link between Enugu people in the United States, Enugu State Government and resourceful people, groups, corporations, governmental and non-governmental organizations of the United States. The Committee shall articulate ways and means of identifying, harnessing, nurturing, sustaining, collaborating with, and rewarding (where necessary) individuals, corporations and groups that have demonstrated interest in supporting ideas, projects and programs, as well as working with these individuals and entities to realize the fruition of such ideas, projects, programs and other potential ideas, projects and programs of interest to Enugu people/Enugu State as appropriate. This Committee will make its recommendations on its findings about a potential project, idea or program available to the Board of Directors through the ESBOD Chairman.
WAYS AND MEANS COMMITTEE
The Ways and Means Committee is a SPECIAL PROJECTS/FACILITATING Committee of the ESBOD. It works closely with all the other Committees of the ESBOD, to energize them to action as well as to provide advice and assistance to them wherever needed. This Board Committee is a monitoring group that ensures that every other Committee is discharging their duties on time, creditably and according to specifications. This Committee provides the enabling environment necessary for the other Committees to do their work accordingly. The Ways and Means Committee acts as a check on all other Committees, that keep them honest and motivated to perform optimally.
The Ways and Means Committee will also handle any other special project that is assigned to it by the ESBOD Chairman.
The Ways and Means Committee will undertake the collation and compilation of all other ESBOD Committee reports. These reports should be assembled on or before each annual National Convention of EnuguUSA. The collected reports would be submitted to the Secretary, Board of Directors for presentation to the general meeting of the ESBOD, holding at each National Convention.
